USIGEUKE KUKU UKAPEKUA HUKU NA HUKU

An oldie but a goodie! One of my Moshi friends has kept her kangas from years ago and still uses them! She loaned them to me so that I can take some pictures. This one comes from Kenya and is at least 20 years old.

This is an old kanga that comes from Kenya

 

This kanga does not look so different from today’s kangas, but some things do stand out. I think the design is a bit simpler with more open space than what is usually seen today. Also, the lettering seems to be in a different font than the usual one that is used today.
