UBAYA HAUNA KWAO MOLA NISITRI NA NJAMA ZAO

Although I haven’t seen this kanga around for a while, it used to be popular among Tanzanians and also tourists. I got this one as a gift in 2014. Produced by Urafiki Textiles, it is a tribute to Tanzanian National Parks and wildlife. I like the idea of having the stars of Tanzanian wildlife depicted on a kanga – but I don’t think this design works very well, mostly because the animals in the border are hard to see.
