NYUMBA YENYE UPENDO HAIKOSI RIZIKI
This kanga is a popular one in Moshi. I have seen it being worn many times ever since I arrived in 2008. Perhaps the popularity is due to the positive saying, “A house filled with love is not without blesslings.” This kanga can also be seen in the postcard book, KANGA: Wrap Garments from East Africa, published by the Erie Art Museum during its Kanga & Kitenge: Clothe and Culture in East Africa exhibit in 2008 – 2009. Sadly, I missed this exhibit, but I think it is great that kangas are appreciated as pieces of art and exhibited internationally.
